Letterpress
Magazine

Letterpress Magazine is a biannual print publication inspired by the letters famously exchanged between writers, artists, and other great thinkers throughout history (from Ernest Hemingway to Virginia Woolf).

At once private and performative, these letters make us feel like eavesdroppers on private conversations, while offering a window into the minds of those having them. Letterpress aims to recreate that same reflective and creative dialogue between writers today.

Founded in 2025, Letterpress grew out of a desire to shine a light on the work of independent publishers. It sets out to amplify the voices of emerging and lesser-known writers and create a space for literary connection between them.

Each issue brings together a collection of contemporary works (poems, short stories, essays etc.) published by independent and small presses. Each piece is accompanied by a creative response from another featured writer, forming a chain of literary dialogue. The result is a carefully curated conversation between texts.

Issue 01 is coming soon. Stay tuned.
